Anatolian rug-making is not just a craft; it’s a historic chronicle dating back thousands of years to Central Asian nomadic tribes. What sets authentic Turkish rugs apart from the rest of the world is the **Ghiordes knot (the double knot)** technique. While many cultures use a single knot, traditional Anatolian weavers tie every piece of wool twice around the warp threads. True value lies in nature. An authentic rug is woven exclusively with natural fibers: hand-spun wool, cotton, or premium silk. In our collection, we strictly reject synthetic factory-made imports like acrylic or polyester. We focus entirely on rugs made with organic wool and eco-friendly natural dyes derived from roots and plants—like madder root for deep reds and indigo for vibrant blues.
