Cappadocia Rug Collection: A Family Story Woven Across Generations

Our story begins with our grandparents, with the rugs they wove and repaired, and the care they gave to their work.

Cappadocia Rug Collection grew from a family business rooted in our paternal grandfather’s generation. Both our grandfather and grandmother worked in rug weaving and repair. Rugs were not simply objects to sell; they were part of the work and everyday life of our family.

Weaving a rug and repairing one are different crafts, yet both call for patience and attention. One brings a textile into being, while the other helps preserve what is already there. These two sides of our family’s story continue to shape the way we look at rugs: with appreciation not only for their appearance, but also for the work behind them.

Today, Cappadocia Rug Collection carries that family connection forward. Our story is not a claim that every piece in our collection was made by our grandparents. It is the story of where our appreciation began, and why rugs and textiles hold a special place in our lives.

We are drawn to the way a rug can give a room its character. Pattern brings movement, color creates atmosphere, and texture adds warmth. But beyond decoration, a textile can also create a connection between a living space and the people, traditions, and skills behind it.

Through this journal, we look forward to sharing more of our family story, exploring the details that make textiles so compelling, and offering ideas for bringing them into your home.

Thank you for being here and for taking the time to get to know us. From our grandparents’ work in weaving and repair to the collection we share today, this is a story we are proud to continue.

Welcome to Cappadocia Rug Collection.
